This policy explains what information GibMove collects when you use gibmove.com, why, how long we keep it, and your rights. We've kept it short and in plain English.

What we collect
When you browse
We count visits so we can see what people find useful and make the site better. For each visit we record:
- the pages you view, and the date and time
- where you came from: the website or app that linked to us (for example Google, Facebook, or an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude), and any campaign tags in the link
- your type of device, operating system and browser
- your approximate location (country, region and city), worked out by our network provider Cloudflare from your internet connection
We don't store your IP address, and we don't use this information to identify you. We don't use advertising trackers, and we never sell your information.
When you sign up for alerts
If you create a property alert, we keep your email address and what you asked to be told about, so we can email you matching homes. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
When you contact an agent
The phone, email and WhatsApp buttons on agents' pages take you straight to the agent. Anything you send goes to them, not to us, and their own privacy policy applies.
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We use as few as we can:

The first two are essential, so we don't need to ask. We ask before setting gm_uid. If you say no, we still count your visit, but anonymously and without the visitor ID.
To change your mind, clear the cookies for gibmove.com in your browser and you'll be asked again. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no.
Other companies involved
- Cloudflare protects the site and delivers it quickly. It handles your connection, including your IP address, to do this.
- Our hosting provider stores the website and its database. Data is stored in the United Kingdom.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces the site uses, so your browser connects to Google to load them.
Some of these companies store information outside Gibraltar. Where they do, they protect it with the safeguards the law requires.
How long we keep it
- Visit statistics: 12 months, then they're deleted automatically.
- Alert sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Why we're allowed to use it
- Visit statistics: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it. For the visitor ID cookie, your consent.
- Alerts: your consent, which you give when you sign up and can withdraw at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct it
- delete it
- stop using it, or limit how we use it
Email [email protected] and we'll reply within a month. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority, which oversees data protection in Gibraltar.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
